Students who join 916 Career and Tech can participate in several student organizations, many of which offer students the opportunity to compete for awards, scholarships, and other recognition by showcasing the skills they learn in one of our many programs.

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a national career and technical student organization. It starts right in the classroom and gives students the chance to challenge themselves in areas of interest, build leadership skills and gain confidence to succeed in their career goals. By preparing for competitive events, students gain knowledge about medicine and healthcare. HOSA also provides students with experiences such as tours of medical facilities or listening to guest speakers. Learn more.

FFA (formerly called Future Farmers of America) is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares students for leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops students’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, giving them the tools they need to achieve real-world success. This group is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA also welcomes members who aspire to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more. Learn more.
